DBQ Services

Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) are standardized forms used by the VA to evaluate the severity of your service-connected conditions. A properly completed DBQ can significantly strengthen your disability claim.

What is a DBQ?

A Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) is a standardized medical form that the VA uses to collect medical evidence about your condition. DBQs are designed to capture the specific information the VA needs to rate your disability.

While VA examiners complete DBQs during Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams, you also have the option to have a private healthcare provider complete a DBQ for submission with your claim.

Private DBQs can be particularly valuable when you feel your C&P exam didn't accurately capture the severity of your condition, or when you want to supplement your claim with additional medical evidence.

Benefits of Private DBQs

  • More Time

Unlike rushed C&P exams, we take the time needed for a thorough evaluation.

  • Complete Documentation

Every section of the DBQ is carefully completed with detailed findings.

  • Provider Familiarity

Work with a provider who understands VA requirements and rating criteria.

  • Supplemental Evidence

Can be submitted alongside or in addition to C&P exam results.

Important Information About DBQs

Multiple Conditions

If you have multiple conditions to be evaluated, each condition typically requires its own DBQ. We offer package pricing for veterans needing multiple DBQs completed.

Timeframe

Most DBQs are completed within 5-7 business days of your evaluation. Complex cases or multiple conditions may require additional time.

VA Acceptance

The VA accepts private DBQs as evidence in disability claims. However, the VA may still request their own C&P exam. Your private DBQ provides additional supporting evidence for your claim.

Telehealth Options

Some DBQs can be completed via telehealth, while others require an in-person examination. We'll advise you on the best approach for your specific condition.
